As we approach the end of 2021, it’s time to uplevel your blog from a hobby to a full-time income.
It’s time to establish your blogging business in 2022.
Over the past year, it’s been difficult to stay focused on business as the world changes often. After living through the pandemic over the last two years, blogging has become the saviour for a lot of bloggers but as life returns to ‘normality’ it can be difficult to find the time to run your blogging business on the side.
Therefore, if you’re serious about blogging full-time, you need to establish your blogging business in 2022 and finally live the independent life that you’ve always dreamed of.
But where to start?
Here are our five tips on how to establish your blogging business in 2022 and become financially free.

It’s time to get down to business
Your blog isn’t a hobby anymore. If you want to earn real money just like those big-time bloggers do;
‘How I earn £10,000 per month on my blog’ or ‘How I grew my blog to full-time within 1 year’
Then the first step you need to take is to start taking yourself seriously.
Your blog isn’t just something to do to occupy your mind on a weekend. It’s a business and requires a business mindset.
Things to start thinking about:
- Working hours – you need to create a working schedule, 2 hours a week isn’t going to cut it.
- Investment – it’s a start-up business and all start-up businesses require investment. Stop using free themes, free stock photos, free accounts and invest in your blog. If you don’t believe it will make money, then why would it?
- A marketing plan. You need to sell your business. Blogging requires page views, therefore creating a marketing plan is a necessity.
Get out there, buy a fresh new notepad, and start planning your weekly, monthly and yearly marketing, business and investment plans.

Branch out with blogging tools
This falls into the same bracket as an investment but blogging tools don’t always cost extra money. Running your blogging business doesn’t mean you have to work 10x harder than you are already working to build an income.
It means working 10x smarter than you were before.
Blogging has been around since the start of the 2000s, so there are a lot of blogging tools developed over the years, some better than others.
Find what tools work for you. What saves you time when you’re creating?
Tools to consider using:
- Tailwind (Pinterest)
- Twitter Scheduler (This one is FREE)
- Monday.com (Content planner – FREE for two accounts)
- Snap Tik
There are a number of tools that we use at The Bloggers Incentive that allows us to blog full-time in half the time.
Blogging is a hard job to get into so if you can use tools to make it slightly easier, why not?
I never understood batch creation until I started working multiple jobs that meant my blogging time was halved. I had to do something because I was creating one reel, with the intention of creating another the next day, but something else would come up and that meant I wasn’t posting consistently on my page.
Batch creating your content allows you to plan ahead and plan for time off.
I now spend one hour a week creating reels instead of 10 minutes every day. Once I’ve created my reels for the week, I don’t have to look at that task again until the following week.
Pre-plan and prepare as much as possible within your business as you don’t know when something is going to come up.
Items to batch create:
- Pinterest Pins
- Instagram posts
- Blog posts
- Facebook group posts
Anything that you can create in advance, create it.

Confidence and commitment
If you’re taking the next step with your business, you need to have the confidence and commitment.
Let’s look at confidence in this section:
As much as you try to make blogging not personal, it is. You are taking your passion, interests and expertise and turning it into a business.
There is a personal element within blogging and with that, you need to have the confidence to post pictures and video content.
I tell my students all the time how important video content is. We have to grow with platforms otherwise, how can we expect to grow?
Not everyone has the confidence for video content so it gives bloggers who do, an edge.
A common theme for posting video content is confidence.
I was in the same situation around a year ago now.
I started off small doing Instagram videos on my stories then I moved to YouTube and now I’m doing it all. I decided to perform research to see how much videos impacted my analytics. These results are for Instagram.
If you are looking to grow your account quickly and organically, video content is the way forward.
Commitment is also a huge factor when it comes to growing your business. As much as we like to think a day or two off, without content planned, won’t hurt… it never works that way.
I have had a slight break off all platforms at one point of my career and the break could be between one to seven days and the impact it has over my business is just insane.
TBI signed off Twitter for two days whilst we worked on behind the scenes work and our analytics showed the hit straight away. With a two day break, we then spend two weeks building our impressions and clicks up to where they were.
Was it really worth taking time off?
If you’re going to commit to blogging, ensure that you are ready for the commitment. In order to see growth, you need to have content planned for the whole year. If not, your content can’t grow quickly.
Of course, you can’t work every single day but plan for your days off or have your work covered. If your blog is owned by multiple people, ensure that your work is being covered when you’re not available.
The brand is important
When you think of Coke Cola. What do you see?
You think of the big red label that is printed across… well everywhere.
Another brand to think about is Apple. When you think of Apple, you see the white logo. Also, think about what the brand represents. When you see Apple products you associate with them:
- High-value products
- Sleek products
When creating your brand, you have to think in the same mindset.
Although you’re not running a million-dollar company, yet, you need to treat your brand as if it is a million-dollar brand.
What emotions do you want to associate with your brand?
Once you establish your brand, your blogging business will grow.
